Limiting Property Taxes
Putting family budgets first
HELP THE PROP 13
We need to ROLL BACK VALUATIONS, to reverse the exorbitant increases in valuations caused by the housing boom of the last few years.
We need to establish our property valuations by using the ACTUAL, RECORDED PURCHASE PRICE, rather than letting the Assessor set our valuations based on the prices of our neighbors’ sales.
We need to LIMIT VALUATION INCREASES TO 2% PER YEAR.
We need to CAP TOTAL TAX AT 0.5% for all residential property and 1% for all other real property (commercial, land), and ELIMINATE ALL OVERRIDES AND EXCEPTIONS to the tax caps.
EVERY DONATED DOLLAR GOES TO THE INITIATIVE EFFORT
WITHOUT PROP 13
Yet another Sales Tax increase is unlikely and it takes a legislative super majority to raise Income Taxes. Property Taxes are the last resort for more revenue. Unless we pass Prop 13 Arizona, we’ll find the proposed $42 billion dollar statewide transportation bond parked on our property tax bills. And remember --- your Secondary Taxes have NO LIMITATION ON INCREASES.
